| Mr. Luce joined HMC in 1995 and serves as President & COO. Before joining the firm, Mr. Luce worked with Bear Stearns & Company, where he served as a member of the Commitment Committee, Chairman of the Equity Committee, and as a Senior Managing Director in the New York office. While with Bear Stearns, Mr. Luce primarily focused on mergers, buyouts, and debt and equity transactions for public and private companies. He serves on the Board of Directors of Presidential Financial Corporation, CF Holding Company, Dent-A-Med, Inc., United Way of Birmingham, Children's Harbor, and Alabama School Readiness Alliance. Mr. Luce holds a BBA from the University of Miami and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Michigan. |
 | Donald R. BeardVice President & Senior Managing Director
| Mr. Beard joined HMC in 2002. He previously served as a Principal and Managing Director of Matrix Capital Markets Group, Inc. He has approximately ten years of turnaround and reorganization experience, having held interim senior management positions in several turnaround situations. In addition, Mr. Beard served as the Chief Operating Officer of Stewart Foods, a Virginia-based public food manufacturer and distributor. |
 | Winston H. Gillum, Jr.Vice President & Managing Director | Prior to joining HMC in May 1998, Mr. Gillum was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Company, Inc. From 1989 to 1992, Mr. Gillum was an accountant at Ernst & Young, focusing on middle market industrial companies. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Alabama and a Master of Business Administration degree from Harvard University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Management Accountant. |
 | J. David HarperDirector of Investments | Mr. Harper joined HMC in 2006 as a Director of Investments. Before joining HMC, he was with Comcast Corporation where he worked in Corporate Development. Prior to working at Comcast, Mr. Harper was a Vice President of Investment Banking at Legg Mason Wood Walker, Inc. (now Stifel Nicolaus Weisel). Mr. Harper holds a Masters of Business Administration degree from The Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. |
 | Richard S. DavisDirector of Investments | Mr. Davis joined HMC in 2011 and brings more than 23 years of diverse financial and operational experience. His background includes 15 years of Corporate and Investment Banking experience with First Union (now Wells Fargo) and RBC Bank, as well as eight years working in private industry in various senior financial roles. Mr. Davis was a member of the finance team at HealthSouth Corporation that successfully completed an out-of-court financial restructuring. Prior to joining HMC, Mr. Davis served as Chief Financial Officer of The Green Companies, LLC, an entrepreneurial company focused on environmental services and landfill development. Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama. |
 | Raymond Harbert Jr.Associate | Mr. Harbert joined HMC in 2010 as an Associate. Prior to joining HMC, he was an associate in the Transaction Services Strategy Group of PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Masters of Business Administration degree and a Bachelors degree in finance, both from the Schools of Business at Wake Forest University. |
 | Elizabeth Jinks StewartAssociate | Mrs. Stewart joined HMC in 2010 as an Associate. She was formerly an Associate with Webster Capital, a private equity firm in the Boston, MA area. Prior to working in private equity, Ms. Stewart was an analyst with Edgeview Partners, focusing on sell side mergers and acquisitions in the middle market. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in political science from Davidson College. |
 | John M. Allgood, Jr.Business Development Associate | Mr. Allgood joined HMC in 2011 as a Business Development Associate. Prior to joining HMC, he worked in the commercial finance industry in various capacities. John serves on the board of the Birmingham Chapter of the Coastal Conservation Association and is a member of Friends of St. Jude, The Rotaract Club of Birmingham and The Birmingham Venture Club. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and journalism from Washington and Lee University. |
