Peter S. Lannigan

Mr. Lannigan is the Senior Managing Director for the Harbert Emerging Markets Funds. Prior to joining HMC in 2005, Mr. Lannigan was Senior Managing Director at Northshore Asset Management, LLC from April 2004 to February 2005. Prior to Northshore, Mr. Lannigan was a Managing Director at Phoenix Investment Partners in Hartford, Connecticut from July 1993 to October 2003. While at Phoenix, Mr. Lannigan served as Managing Director, Public Fixed Income, Emerging Markets; Director, Public Fixed Income; and as Vice President, Phoenix Mutual Insurance Company. In addition, Mr. Lannigan served as a portfolio manager of Phoenix Global Sovereign’s collateralized bond obligation, an emerging markets CBO, underwritten and launched in August 2000. Prior to joining Phoenix, Mr. Lannigan was an Associate Director and Fixed Income Analyst at Standard & Poor's Corporation in New York from May 1989 to June 1993. Previously, Mr. Lannigan was a Senior Accountant at Allied Signal Corporation in Providence, Rhode Island from March 1985 to May 1987. Mr. Lannigan is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and earned a Master of Business Administration degree at Babson College.

Heather N. Leonard

Ms. Leonard is a Managing Director and a member of the Emerging Markets investment team. Prior to joining the investment team in 2005, Ms. Leonard was a Managing Director at Northshore Asset Management, LLC from August 2004 to February 2005. Previously, she was employed at Phoenix Investment Partners, Ltd. in Hartford from September 1997 to July 2004. While at Phoenix, she served as a Director of Public Fixed Income, Emerging Markets, for Phoenix Investment Counsel, Inc. and as a Mutual Fund Tax Manager and Assistant Treasurer, Tax Analyst and Financial Reporting Analyst for the Phoenix Funds. In January 1999, Ms. Leonard assumed responsibility for co-management of the Phoenix Emerging Markets Bond Fund with Peter Lannigan. Prior to joining Phoenix, Ms. Leonard worked as a Real Estate Accountant for J&S Development and Management Corp. from December 1994 to September 1997. Ms. Leonard graduated from the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.

Tom A. Chyla

Mr. Chyla is the Director of Investments for the Harbert Emerging Markets Funds. Mr. Chyla joined HMC in November 2004 as an Analyst and joined the Harbert Emerging Markets investment team in February 2007. Prior to joining HMC, he was a member of the event driven investment group at Avery Capital. Prior to Avery, Mr. Chyla spent two years with RD Capital, a market neutral hedge fund focused on retail, real estate, and health care facilities. Mr. Chyla began his investment career with Ascent/Meredith Asset Management where he was an analyst for several years. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neurobiology.

Greg P. Ebeyer

Mr. Ebeyer joined Harbert in January 2008 as a Trader. He graduated from the State University of Buffalo in 1999, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Prior to joining Harbert, he worked at Angelo, Gordon & Co. as a Long/Short Trader focused on Real Estate securities. Mr. Ebeyer began his career at Bear Stearns and has his Series 7, 63 and 55 licenses.
